Recovery Walk 2017

Recovery Walk, Saturday 9th September 2017

The 6th annual Recovery Walk Ireland took place on Saturday 9th September in Dublin. A lively group of people in recovery and people who support recovery took to the streets, marching together from Dr. Steevens to the Garda Boat Club in Islandbridge. Following the walk, even more supporters turned up to the family fun day filled with music, refreshments and plenty of entertainment for the children!

The event was held to celebrate the achievements of people in recovery from addiction and to show that recovery works! September is International Recovery Month when tens of thousands of people around the world take part in recovery walks and other events to show that prevention works, treatment is effective, and recovery from addiction is a reality in millions of people’s lives.
